Learn to sew a Brush Roll

This sewing class will teach beginners some basic techniques as they learn to make a Brush Roll, a fabulous way to store and transport an artist's brushes, a calligrapher's pens, a writer's pencils. Only a simple sewing machine is needed (one with a zigzag stitch) and an iron is absolutely necessary. Very little fabric is needed - the student may be able to use up a scrap for this project! The course may also appeal to more experience sewers, simple because the project makes such a great gift for creative friends. It's also a great way for schoolchildren to keep their markers and coloured pencils.

Requirements This is a basic sewing tutorial, easily accessible to beginners. You'll need a simple sewing machine that has a zigzag stitch and -- very importantly -- an iron, too!
